OSCAR, Finalist for the 2026 AMO Prize

The OSCAR project, located at 102 rue de Charonne in Paris, is a finalist for the 2026 AMO Prize, in the TransEuropArchi category.

The project transforms an existing 12,000 m² complex, complemented by 3,000 m² of new construction, to create a 15,000 m² commercial development.

The project preserves and reinterprets the site’s industrial identity through a contemporary intervention. Two R+5 buildings and a bridge building with a timber structure complement the existing buildings.

The transformation also incorporates an integrated environmental approach: material reuse, timber construction, improved thermal performance and geothermal energy all contribute to the objective of achieving carbon neutrality in operation.

Landscape design plays a central role in the project, with gardens, planted terraces and a rooftop terrace creating a planted journey from the garden level to the sixth floor.

Through OSCAR, we continue to explore the transformation of existing buildings, bringing together heritage, new uses and environmental challenges.

This selection for the 2026 AMO Prize recognises the collective work carried out with all the project stakeholders.
